John’s Island Community Service League awards $1.4 million
The John’s Island Community Service League announced last week that its members had raised and awarded more than $1.4 million in grants and scholarships this year.
For more than 40 years the JICSL has evolved with changing times, and while this past year was uniquely complex, it was an extraordinary one. It was the fourth year in a row we made grants in excess of $1,000,000. It is only because of the generosity of our John’s Island community that we are able to support operating expenses for so many agencies that serve women, children and families in need as well as provide scholarships to John’s Island Employees and their children.
